Collections is a term used to refer to a series of designs that have some relationship in form. But when used as a verb, collecting is the act of gathering items that have some similarity. It is this process of finding items to assemble into jewelry that drives the forms I create.

When I was a girl, I spent hours in the wooded areas that surrounded my summer cottage collecting berries, leaves, rocks and just about any natural form that caught my eye. These moments of methodically picking up these items is the way I collect pearls and gemstones. And when I bring them home I set them on a table and line them up side by side until I see a dialogue between the juxtaposition of their shapes.
